$BQX (Ethos) vs $VGX (Voyager Token)

Is $BQX (Ethos) the same as $VGX (Voyager Token)?

I recently had someone ask me about their $BQX tokens on Binance. They wanted to know about the recent jump in price and if it was the same cryptocurrency as the $VGX token on the Voyager Crypto Trading App

This Reddit post expresses the same concern.

“What will happen to my “BQX” coins on Binance? So, I just read that Ethos are going to be rebranded to become VGX. The announcement reads: “all ethos tokens are going to be automatically switched to VGX on all platforms that support the rebrand”. Is Binance one among these platforms? Is there an inventory of those platforms somewhere, aside from the ethos wallet and therefore the voyager app? Will VGX be listed on bigger exchanges within the future? And when will the rebranding happen? Missing this sort of data are often irritating for a stakeholder. I appreciate your diligence on the project. Hope for the simplest regarding all the new changes.”

The answer is a big YES!!!!

$BQX is the same crypto as $VGX. It was simply rebranded when the Voyager Invest platform bought out the cryptocurrency and began using it for their own platform. The underlying coin and blockchain technology is the same. Just the name has changed.

Why I HODL Voyager Token ($VGX)

I HODL the Voyager Token in order to increase the interest rate on my crypto and stable coins (USDC) held on the Voyager Invest platform. If you hold a minimum of 5,000 Voyager tokens, the platform pays an additional 1% on your entire portfolio. So, for example, if you have BTC earning 5.5% APR, you can earn 6.5% on that same balance, simply by holding VGX in the same account. It’s a genius idea and makes for great tokenimics for the underlying cryptocurrency.

How To Mine $VGX (Voyager token)

Since VGX is an ERC-20 token, it is not mineable. However, you can earn up to 7% interest on it by holding it on the Voyager Invest platform.
